Cody Steinmann has been a professional performer and music educator for over a decade. He earned his Associate’s degree in Music Occupations from Milwaukee Area Technical College and later received a Rita Tallent Picken scholarship to attend the University of Wisconsin – Parkside. His studies included extensive mentorship from respected musicians such as Steve Peplin, Russ Johnson, Solomon Parham, and JD Allen, among others. Cody has also broadened his musical expertise through lessons with notable figures like Ari Honig, Johannes Weidenmueller, and Scott Hesse.
Since moving to Minneapolis, Cody has firmly established himself in the Twin Cities jazz community as a dynamic improviser and composer. He has shared the stage with top artists like JD Allen, Solomon Parham, Javier Santiago, and JT Bates, contributing his distinctive style and expertise to every performance.
